Today is Bandcamp Friday, where Bandcamp are waiving their fees in support of artists and labels for 24 hours. We have decided to donate all label proceeds from digital sales, and 30% of physical sales from today to the Refugee Council and The British Red Cross.
In light of the awful situation caused by the war in Ukraine, we are once again angered by the UK government’s response to the refugee crisis. The speed of processing asylum applications and levels of bureaucracy faced by those fleeing is unforgivable. The Refugee Council directly support refugees seeking asylum in the UK, and campaign for their rights. In addition, we will be donating money to the Red Cross’s huge humanitarian effort within Ukraine.
Many of our artists have also agreed to donate their share of proceeds to these charities today. Please support if you’re able to.
It would be a good time to pre-order the recently announced Matthew Bourne and Nightports w/ Tom Herbert albums or pick up a copy of Keeley Forsyth’s Limbs for example.
