Watch the video for Keeley Forsyth’s single ‘Start Again’, ahead of the release of her devastating debut album Debris on January 17th.
The video is directed by Andrew Hulme, whose history with Leaf goes all the way back to 1996 as a member of The Sons of Silence and A Small Good Thing. Making his name as one of the UK’s top film editors (Acid House and Control) and an emerging director, there is also history between Andrew and Keeley, first meeting in an audition for his feature film The Devil Outside. “She walked into an audition and stunned me with her acting talents,” he explains. “I subsequently cast her in a starring role, and our paths have crossed ever since.”
“The video’s part of an ongoing collaboration” Forsyth adds. “We first worked together as actor and director, and I love how the images he uses feel like brain cell muscle memory, and how they work perfectly with the song.”
