Listen to ‘Side Effects’, the third track taken from Malcolm Pardon’s new album The Abyss.

“I was sitting by the piano and had a single note going on repeat with my right hand, like a metronome,” Pardon explains. “I wanted to see how I could build something around this note without losing it in the process. Then as the song started to take shape, this note became like the heartbeat of the song. The challenge was to make the chord changes and progression interesting, with this note acting as a guiding light.”

The Abyss will be released September 20th. It is available to pre-order/pre-save on limited edition ‘Pool Party’ splatter vinyl LP (350 copies), black vinyl LP, limited CD (500 copies) and digital.
